Child Marriage?

After one of the yoga event this sat, we friends decided to have breakfast together. As I had taken Kiddo
along with me, they were all curious about her.

She {on learning that Kiddo will be turning 8 in Jan}: How old are you?
Me {confused}: xx yrs
She {going wide eyed & high pitched in shock}: When did you get married? Was it a child marriage?

I still am not sure if that was a good thing or not @-)
