Virtual Mediums

My love for impersonal communication medium can be summed up in this single line... Thank you my friend... for reminding it to me... Mmmmmmuah!

"Really happy to see ur rocking happy face"

I would love to kiss the person who came up with the concept of emoticons... Aaaaah!

Udana Vayu

When udana is balanced and strong, we stand tall and are joyous, enthusiastic, alert, articulate, and strong-
willed. Deranged udana, on the other hand, may prod us to negative, inappropriate, or excessive speech—or render us unable to express ourselves at all.

More on Communication... :-)

Long time back I had written about how two or more malayalees communicate with each other. Now, a
friend of mine has taken it a step further. While chatting, he send still images from movies...

To be honest... I dont see a better way to understand what he is conveying than through these images... It just falls right where it has to... :-)

Communications

Okay... Let me set the scene! Imagine.........

A bus stop on the curbs of a busy road... imagine a road as wide as 10mtrs and extremely busy with heavy traffic plying through this road. Thats when you spot him... at the other side of the road... wearing a bright red T-shirt. He looks into his mobile.... lifts his head & looks up straight to our side of the road... and smiles :-) And thats exactly when you realize, he is communicating with a she on this side of the road. They are exchanging their messages through their cell phone! In between, they look up at each other, smiles & then the process continues.

Well... have to admit... I thoroughly enjoyed this scene. And since I am heavily biased, I have to mention this too... There was a charm in watching his smile from this end of the road amidst the traffic... with the traffic intermittently blocking out that warm smile from our sight.

Yipz! Feels like a complete teenager :") Wonder what the actual He & She would have been experiencing.....

Goosebumps!!! :")

That loaf of bread

Today, we... a couple of friends, were gossiping about a celebrity couple who recently had a break up. Something someone said prompted me to post this here.

Now, you are that loaf of bread from which the first brown slice has been removed. So, people will believe they can have how many ever slices from that loaf of bread & no one would ever know.

For someone who uses visual aid for comprehension... There was no better way to drive the message home :-)

So... what do you think? Will this loaf of bread go stale or will it get consumed completely before molds start appearing? Which is the better "
evil"?

Denial

Denial is a critical part of human coping mechanism. Without it, we would all wake up terrified every morning
about all the ways we could die. Instead, our minds block out our existential fears by focusing on stresses we can handle - like getting to work on time or paying our taxes. If we have wider, existential fears, we jettison them very quickly, refocusing on simple tasks and daily trivialities.

Balance it!

Thanks to ever emerging conveniences, we 6 friends(a mixed group of boyz & gals) were able to interact from four difference locations. Today morning, while I mentally scroll through the topics we all discussed last night, I realized one thing....

Girls are all discussing about a dreamy & hypothetical 'future' while the men are all talking about their 'gay' past.

Well... I firmly believe I do not have to make explicit reference to the contents of discussion... O:-)

Red is the color

She, while walking around the class & checking if everyone is comfortable, replaces the blue coloured
bolster I had with a red coloured one.

Later in the class I understand.... Red is the color of the Mooladhara Chakra. Yes! I can do with a lot of conscious activation of that chakra.

Lum!!!

a v/s an

He : What is with you and an? Why do you always use an? This is too basic for anyone to overlook.

Well... Thats how disinterested I am when it comes to constructs... Thats all I can come up with for my general disinterest & ignorance... :-/

Sigh!

sankalpa mandaram thaliridum

A friend, who knows exactly how to irk me says.... "Okay... I will give you something to do. 'sankalpa mandaram thaliridum'... Let me see what you make out of this line" and he walks away with a smug look{or so I imagined}.

Every one has their own way of writing their language in English, which implies that the spelling will never match. Adding to that woe, my command over any language is pathetic. Thanks to these facts, it took me 2 people to actually nail this song - one to help me figure out the exact song and the other to explain the meaning in a nutshell.

What did I learn from this exercise? Are there genuinely these many jobless people? The volume of people are into music & lyrics & its feel? Everybody needs a change in routine? Whoever I pinged, dropped everything they were doing, and helped me find this one song & its meaning.... :-) I know I am not doing any justice to the rush I felt when they responded to me in this entry... But it was great... :-)

Anywayz... back to the song now... I love the way he goes 'Aarumariyathee'...

PS.
If you want me to make corrections to the translations/meaning... Either put it in the comments section or buzz me with the corrections... :"-)

Pramaana

"Pramaana, the mind is engaged in wanting proof for everything. There are three types of pramana -
pratyaksha, anumaana, aagamana." - Commentary on Pathanjali's Yoga Sutra by SSR.

I see what my fundamental road block is... I, the receiver, wants pratyaksha pramaana. When I, the giver, is ready to give only anumaana pramana. And I strongly believe that my anumaana pramanas are pratyaksha pramaana....

Twisted for you? Well... thats what you are dealing with...

Sigh!

Kiddo {in her happy chirpy self}: I will never miss you
Me {puzzled at the mismatched tone & statement, though they would have been true individually}: Duh??
Kiddo {immediately sensing something wrong}: No... Oh! No... What was that?
Me {what was what}:????????
Kiddo : Oh! Yea!!! I will never forget you.... :-)

And she walks away after a peck on my cheek.
