ironing clothes

A few days back, Kiddo was watching me iron clothes at home. She was observing the whole proceedings & was showing off her 'research' results. This one caught my attention ...

Kiddo {all serious} : We should use the iron box to iron only clothes. We should not iron things like plastic and all, isn't it?
Me {raised eyebrows} : Yes .... you are correct. How do you know that?
Kiddo {all smug now} : I know.
Me : Did you try ironing plastic?
Kiddo {that smug look is replaced by a sly grin} : ___
Me {completely excited} : How did you do it? When did you do it?
Kiddo {still grinning} : Me & gran did it.
Me {smiling ear to ear} : Aaaand?
Kiddo {panic & excitment in her voice} : Achan didn't know. Only me & gran were there. Gran then took a knife & removed the kacha-pucha(burnt) plastic from the iron box.

Bravo!!!We have a scientist in the family!!! But her narration was fun to hear ... :)
